Director: Alejo Czerwonko

Alejo is Executive Director of Investment Strategy at UBS's New York-based Chief Investment Office. Alejo leads a team of emerging markets analysts dedicated to developing investment ideas in these countries and helping to define the positioning of investment portfolios valued in billions of dollars.
Alejo frequently contributes to columns in the Financial Times, Bloomberg, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, among other publications.
Alejo obtained a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University in New York City. He also graduated from programs in economics and finance from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and CEMA University in Argentina.
Alejo is visiting professor of an emerging markets course at Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs. Alejo also taught courses at Columbia Business School, Columbia College, and CEMA University.
